Q: What's the purpose of the "community" side?
A: The "community" is a place to relax, share updates, and meet people. Here, you can check out community profiles, post and comment in blogs, and join groups.
Its also a place for our members that are more interested in being part of a sexy community than finding dates or hookups.
Q: What's the difference between my dating and community profiles?
A: Your "community" profile is independent of your dating one so you can update it if you like.
Q: How to make a post?
A: You can either click the "Write Post" button on the left sidebar or go to your blog or groups and post there. If you don't have a blog, we'll automatically create one for you one your first post.
Q: How can my posts get seen more?
A: We rely on the interactions of readers to help determine which posts are shown more. Keep that in mind when making posts - focus on the title of the post, add a poll, or include memes, photos, or funny content. Yes, this is an adult site but not every post needs to be about sex. We also encourage you to reply back to comments to your posts.
Q: How can I make it so my community profile and posts only show to registered passion members?
A: Just go to the bottom of your community settings page and toggle "Only show my community profile and posts to registered members.
Q: What are alerts and how can I adjust which ones I get?
A: Alerts let you know when things happen in the community. You can choose which alert to get on your account settings page or on the group page if the is group-related.
Q: What should I do if I see someone being rude or annoying?
A: Go to the their community profile page and click the "3 horizontal lines" button then the "flag" icon to either block or report them. We will take appropriate steps. If you block them, you won’t see any of their posts and they won’t see yours. You can unblock them here. If someone is being disruptive in your group, you can block their access to your group in the group settings (look for "3 vertical dot" icon button on upper-right corner of your group for "blocks"). Please note that community uses a separate blocking system than blocks on your dating profile.
Q: What are levels and how are they determined?
A: Please refer to the Level page for details on how levels are determined. The points/level system is just a way to help reward active members by giving more access and perks.
Q: What is "dark mode" and how do I turn it on?
A: "Dark mode" is basically white text on dark background and many people say it's easier on the eyes than black text on white. To turn it on, click the "Dark" button in the left sidebar. You can turn it off in the same manner.
Q: Why do some of my alerts say "Content Deleted"?
A: Sometimes we notify members of new posts/comments/replies/etc and then the author or we remove the content. Instead of deleting your notification, we just show "Content Deleted". We do this so members won't wonder where the notification alert went.
Q: What does it mean to "Follow" a member?
When you follow a member by clicking "Follow" on their community profile page, you'll automatically begin following their blog and get notified whenever they make a blog post depending on your account settings.
Q: How can I tag someone in a post, comment, or reply to a comment?
A: Just put a ‘@‘ symbol in front of their username (e.g., @username) and we will send them a notice if they have the alert setting turned on.
Q: How can I make a link to posts, groups, or blogs?
A: To link to a post, click the "3 vertical dot" icon button in the lower right corner of the post and click on the "Copy Link" option. It will copy the link to your clipboard and you can just paste it where you want.
To link to a group or blog, , click the "3 vertical dot" icon in the upper right corner of the page and click on the "&:hashtag" option.
Q: How can I make a title for my post?
A: Just start the post with a "# " (pound-sign and a space). The rest of the first line will be considered the post's title.
Q: How can place photos inside the body of my posts?
A: If you have one photo to place, just put "[image]" where you want it to go, if you have 2 or more photos put "[image 2]" etc to place them.
Q: How can I make a link to an external URL in my posts?
A: So long as the link is not commerical, you can just cut and paste it into the post. If you want to turn it into a link with some "text to click on", you can do it by clicking on the link icon above the editor or by manually entering: [text to click on](https://....).
Q: How can I make formatted text in my posts and comments?
A: Here are some of the basic commands for text formatting:

Q: How do groups work?
Groups are a way to interact with people who share a specific interest or location. Members who are premium or level 4+ are able to create up to four groups. That member is called the "Host" and can optionally add other members as moderators. The host and moderators have the ability to limit which members can join the group and block those who they deem disruptive. If the host becomes inactive (e.g., leaves), the group is granted to the most active member automatically. Alternatively, the host can give the group to any member. If a member joins a group, the most recently active host or moderator is credited for that member (i.e., for points)./p>
Q: How do I block someone from my groups?
If someone is being disruptive in your group, you can block their access to your group in the group settings (look for "3 vertical dot" icon button on upper-right corner of your group for "blocks"). Blocking a member from posting in your group doesn't block them from your view outside of the group. To block "community wide", go to your community settings page (on desktop, click on the "gear" icon in the left sidebar) and click on the "blocks" tab.
Q: What can groups be about?
A: Groups are typically either topical or geographic. Groups can be listed as "online only", "offline" or both as well as setup to be local, regional, state-wide, country-wide or international (default). We are currently pretty open to what can be a group but might come up with more guidelines depending on feedback. We do have limits on content (e.g., no overtly sexual content as it doesn't help the mission of this website and there are other websites that better suited).
Q: Who can create groups?
A: Currently any level 4+ member can create a group by going to the main groups page and clicking "Create Group". You'll see a form that has some basic directions. We reserve group creation to experienced members to avoid having lots of thinly populated groups.
Q: What are group moderators?
A: Moderators are members that the group owner can define in the group edit page. They get all the same abilities as the group owner but they can't edit moderators or transfer a group to another member.
Q: How to join groups?
A: There is a big "Join" button on every group that you can join.
Q: Who can post in a group?
A: The member who started a group can set who can post in it. Options are: any passion member, any group member, or host/moderators only.
Q: Can I hide which groups I'm a member of on my profile page?
A: Yes, you can hide the group list as a setting on the settings page.
Q: What if I no longer want to run my group?
A: You've a few options. If your group has no members, just delete it. If it has members, you can either give it to a member of the group or merge the group with another group. Both options are explained at the bottom of the "Edit Group" page.
Q: How do you handle old or inactive groups?
A: Once a group has had no activity (e.g., new joins or posts) for 6 months, we simply retire it from the website. If the owner of a group deletes their profile, we pick the member of the group who has been the most active in the last month and give it to him or her.
Q: How do group chatrooms work?
The originator or moderator of a group can turn on a group chatroom from the"Edit Group" page. When a chatroom is open, you'll see a yellow button the group page. Since the chatroom is live, we rely on the members in the chatroom to keep conversations civil. If you click the message bubble, you can see more info about the message such as the time it was sent. You can also click a "mute" link there to hide further messages by that user for that chat session. If several members do so, then it automatically flags the reported member. You can find groups that have chatrooms here.
Q: Any points for participation?
A: Yep. You get points when members join your groups or attend events you list. You still get the same points when you post in a group as if you post generally. Comments are treated the same as well.

Custom badges are available for group originators and moderators to create and award to members in their groups. These badges are only applied to the group in which they were awarded and are permanent until explicitly revoked. You'll find these new badge options in your Group's settings page.
Badges for new group members, frequent posters ("Story Teller"), highly interacted with authors ("Top Contributor"), and first time posters have been added. These badges are applied automatically and apply on a group-by-group basis. The "Story Teller" and "Top Contributor" badges are awarded to the top 5 members and are awarded based on statistics from the previous 90 days.
"Broadcasting Now" icons have been added to more locations such as member's profiles, hover cards, and others... while the member is broadcasting live. Previously these were only seen in chatrooms. Clicking on the icon will open a popup where you'll be able to view and interact with the member's broadcast.
Pinned posts have an additional option of a "Pin Duration". Only 7 days or 30 days are available currently. After the specified duration has elapsed the post will become unpinned automatically. All currently pinned posts are permanent unless updated by a group's originator or moderator.
